Position: Retail Manager (General)
Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 per year

The business combines fuel forecourt services with a retail outlet, requiring professional management to maintain compliance, service standards, and profitability.
Job Duties:
The Retail Manager at Astron Burrum Heads will:
- Organise and control daily operations of the service station and convenience store, including the forecourt, point-of-sale, and shop floor.
- Determine stock levels and product mix for convenience goods, snacks, drinks, and automotive items to maximise sales.
- Oversee ordering, receipt, storage, and rotation of stock, including monitoring and reconciling fuel deliveries.
- Formulate and implement pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies to increase store traffic and sales.
- Recruit, train, roster, and supervise service station attendants and shop staff, ensuring high standards of customer service.
- Manage financial transactions including cash handling, reconciliation, and daily banking, as well as reporting fuel and retail sales to head office.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including workplace safety, fuel handling regulations, and food hygiene requirements.
- Monitor store performance, analyse sales reports, and implement operational improvements to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Respond to customer feedback and complaints in a professional manner to maintain service standards and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with suppliers and United Petroleum head office regarding promotions, stock supply, and compliance requirements.
Relevant Skills:
- AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Retail Management or Business (ANZSCO Skill Level 2), or substantial relevant experience in retail/service station management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a retail or fuel setting.
- Financial literacy, including budgeting, P&L; monitoring, and sales analysis.
- Strong customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of WHS, fuel handling regulations, and retail compliance requirements.
