**About the Role**
As a hands on HSE Manager your primary function will be to comprehensively continue to evaluate, enhance, and integrate a functional safety management plan by conducting a complete review and upgrading all processes and procedures pertaining to compliance, risk management, injury prevention and management, and best practices. Upon implementation, your system will be adaptable and applicable across the new sites coming online.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversight of strategy and culture
- Continue to develop the management Framework and support its implementation (e.g. incident investigations, risk assessment, etc),
- Establish and implement a critical control program for the life critical risks present on the farms,
- Champion safety leadership values and behaviours to contribute to the shift in HSE culture and engagement, and
- Brief CEO on WHS matters as required and prepare for and brief the CEO in advance of meetings of the Board and attend meetings of the Board and its Committees as required.
- Strong presence on the sites in NSW & Queensland with frequent travel throughout employment.
**The Individual**
- Relevant tertiary / professional qualifications in Health and Safety, Risk Management, Learning and Development, Law, Psychology, or a related field (postgraduate qualification highly desirable) and demonstrated track record of Manager in a high-risk environment.
- Demonstrated experience in embedding safety culture and Health Safety Management Systems and exercising due diligence and management of compliance and legislative obligations.
- Outstanding contemporary leadership skills and behaviours, with the proven capacity to work collaboratively with the Leadership Team, to positively engage across the Divisions and with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated strategic and policy acuity, with the ability to influence and shape attitudes and behaviours and engage, all employees, management, and other stakeholders in a team approach to achieving success.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with particular emphasis in the areas of consultation, advocacy, negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution to resolve issues and meet changing organisational needs.
