Business Development Team Assistant (Junior)

Building Industry Training Pty Ltd (BIT) is a top 10 registered training organisation (RTO #40785) in Australia and is building its presence across Queensland and Northern NSW from its Gold Coast Headquarters. (BIT) has offices in Arundel, Toowong and Livingstone Shire. Our RTO provide onsite training and assessment, primarily for Certificate III Qualifications within the construction industry.

Building Industry Training's Business Development team have expanded and now require the support of a Business Development Team Assistant to help with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including:

ACAPs (Apprenticeship Connect Providers) Schools & Educational Facilities

Building & Construction Industry Employers, GTO and Partners

Apprentices / Students Government Depts & Industry Groups

About the Position

This new role will support the Business Development team with both strategic external partnerships as well as internal stakeholders (BIT Admin Dept - BIT Compliance Dept - BIT Trainers) using your previous administrative & office experience which will have directly influenced positive business development outcomes.

The role would be perfectly suit to someone who is a self -motivated team player who demonstrates commitment and attention to detail. A person with great time management skills who is extremely efficient. We are looking for a well presented, energetic team player who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty (we are in the building industry).

Responsibilities will include.... but not limited to:

· Responding to emails, phone calls and messages.

· Variety of tasks which support the Business Development Team.

· Enter data into / extract data from our CRM (Axcelerate)

· Assist in the preparation & completion with student enrolments

· Assist with both inbound & outbound business communications.

· Assist with ACAP communications and applicants on their job board adverts.

· Assist with current & future internal & external apprentices' engagement

· Process and assist in the finalisation of student enrolment information

· Assist with development of Business Development content & materials

· Sourcing & purchasing training promotional products

· Digital research & engagement via social media platforms

· Follow-ups and customer liaison

Employment hours & location

· Full time position, Monday to Friday

· Start 7.30am – Finish 3:30pm

· Based in our Arundel office, Gold Coast

Building Industry Training (BIT) are seeking an applicant who has:

Ability to analyse & solve problems.

Skilled & knowledgeable with MS Office suite as well as adaptability to new business software.

Patient, positive attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Reliable and committed to business outcomes and future career growth.

Previous building / construction industry knowledge would be an advantage, but is not essential
Results Focused – You want to succeed and are willing to work for it.

Future Growth Focus – Eager to increase business outcomes.

The successful applicant will undertake research with market & industry influences, monitor key aspects of the building training industry, assist with the development of activities which help BIT increase market share. Additionally helping with the latest knowledge to help identify new or emerging trends & or threats within Queensland's building & construction industry.

Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities

The role will assist the team with identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, helping with our team's pipeline (locating potential new apprentices as well as finalising the enrolling of apprenticeship students and ensuring they are officially active with the Dept of Trade, Employment and Training).

Role Requirements

We place a significant emphasis on trade knowledge, communication skills, teamwork and the ability to work independently, follow compliance procedures and be proactive in engaging within and outside of the business.

To become part of our growing team, applicants need to have the following: -

· Must be able to obtain or currently hold a current White Card

· Be able to obtain a Blue Card or currently hold a Blue Card

· A current Driver's licence

· Experience with Microsoft Office products and computers

· Excellent verbal and communication skills.

· Australian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Visa

· Pass a National Police Check

· A confident, calm and patient nature with an outgoing personality

· Strong interpersonal skills and a team player who will maintain our reputation in delivering quality training.
