The opportunity
Architectural Hardwood Joinery is seeking an Apprentice Wood Machinist / CNC Operator to join our dynamic team in Woonona, NSW. As a full-time role, you will play a key part in the production of high-quality timber products for the construction and design industries.
Key responsibilities
* Operating state of the art woodworking machinery and 5 axis Biesse CNC equipment to manufacture timber components and finished products
* Performing routine maintenance and monitoring of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to inform the manufacturing process
* Assisting with the assembly and finishing of timber products
* Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency
* Contributing to a collaborative and safety-focused work environment
What we're looking for
* A mature, motivated individual with a keen interest in woodworking and manufacturing
* Willingness to undertake a wood machinist apprenticeship to develop specialist skills
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
* Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with precision machinery
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
* A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
