Taking on the role of Digital Product Manager, you will be a key member of Wholesale Strategic Change, integral to supporting HSBC's strategy of Digitising at Scale. Reporting to the Wholesale Head of Strategic change, your primary focus will be building the Digital Product strategy for the Wholesale Bank and developing digital product features to create seamless, efficient, and innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses. In doing so, you will interact regularly with stakeholders across the Wholesale banking business to understand requirements and desired outcomes, mapping the customer journey to develop solutions utilising Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Digitisation technologies.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Defining and communicating a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the business objectives of our Wholesale Bank. Leading the end-to-end development of digital products, from ideation to launch, ensuring they meet market needs and deliver exceptional value to our colleagues and clients.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, design, marketing, operations, and client coverage, to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of digital products.
- Conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Championing the voice of the customer by incorporating feedback and insights into the product development process to enhance user experience and satisfaction.
- Implementing agile practices to ensure efficient and iterative product development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Establishing objectives and key results (OKRs) and using data-driven insights to track product performance and make informed decisions.
- Putting together business cases, business realisation plans and ideation cases to embed new features to grow the Digital agenda.
- Building strong relationships, adopting a joined-up approach and ensure regular and positive engagement with key support functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc. in driving Digital changes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar role in the financial services industry, preferably within commercial banking or fintech.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of digital technologies, software development, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep empathy for customer and colleagues needs and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Strong commercial orientation, track record of balancing risks versus rewards and maximising the cost effectiveness and profitability for the business.
- Attention to detail, able to work independently as well as part of a team with strong commitment to working and thinking collaboratively.
- Bachelor's degree in a Finance and/or business-related field.
