Role Highlights
* Create bold, innovative content – planning, filming, editing and publishing videos and photography across social and digital channels, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and tone.
* Work closely with the marketing department, dancers, artistic and wardrobe teams, guest artists and partners to coordinate shoots, gather content and support marketing campaigns.
* Manage The Australian Ballet's online community of over one million fans by monitoring channels, responding to comments and contributing to a vibrant, inclusive social media presence.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Digital Content and Social Media Manager to curate the social media content calendar for The Australian Ballet, aligning with agreed social content pillars.
* Plan, shoot and edit short‑form mobile content, optimising for social channels and online platforms.
* Manage and engage online communities by monitoring social channels, responding to comments, sharing relevant partner and media content, and keeping abreast of emerging social media trends.
* Ensure that all content adheres to brand guidelines, social media best practice and is approved by all necessary parties.
* Contribute to the management of the social media influencer strategy, working closely with the PR and Communications Team.
Qualifications
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
* A thorough understanding and/or appreciation of ballet and dance.
* Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
* Ability to film and edit mobile content on an iPhone or with video‑editing tools and basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere) or a desire to learn.
