Role Overview
This is a foundational, hybrid role combining project management, technical coordination, and early‐stage market support. As the first employee in Australia, you will play a critical role in executing projects locally, coordinating with headquarters, and establishing the company's presence in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
* Lead end‐to‐end delivery of SCADA and EMS projects across Australia
* Coordinate project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables
* Act as the primary local point of contact for clients and stakeholders
* Manage subcontractors and source local outsourcing partners (e.g., installers, engineers, system integrators)
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards
2. Technical Support & Coordination
* Perform on‐site software and M&E issues.
* Support system commissioning, testing, and deployment activities
* Act as the bridge between local clients and the R&D/engineering team
* Escalate and coordinate resolution of complex technical issues with HQ
* Assist in system configuration, documentation, and user training where required
3. Stakeholder & Client Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and partners
* Translate client requirements into actionable project plans
* Ensure clear communication between local stakeholders and overseas teams
4. Business Development (Growing Responsibility)
* Support early‐stage business development and sales activities
* Identify potential opportunities within energy, utilities, and industrial sectors
* Assist with proposals, tenders, and client presentations
* Represent SPS in meetings, site visits, and industry engagements
* Over time, take on greater ownership of client acquisition and market expansion
5. Market Setup & Local Operations
* Help establish SPS's operational presence in Australia
* Identify and onboard local vendors and service providers
* Provide insights into the Australian market, regulations, and customer needs
* Contribute to building processes and best practices for future team expansion
Requirements
* Ability to converse and write in Mandarin.
* 2–3 years of experience in Project management, OR Engineering / technical roles within energy, utilities, automation, or industrial systems.
* Experience working with SCADA, EMS, or similar control/monitoring systems is highly desirable.
* Understanding of Industrial control systems / SCADA, Networking and system integration.
* Familiarity with Australian energy market regulations and standards.
* A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Energy Management, or a related technical field is preferred.
