Do you love dogs? Want a furry companion? We are seeking dog foster carers to help save the many homeless ones in the Busselton/Margaret River area. Foster caring is suitable for people at all stages of life, from families to singles – a perfect way to give back to the community while enjoying the love of an animal.
What is expected of you as a dog foster carer?
Provide love and shelter to any dogs in your care.
Show patience and understanding toward them.
Organise any necessary vet work (with our help).
Drive or arrange transport to vet appointments.
Get to know your foster dog to provide information on their ideal home.
Create a profile and photos for their adoption ad (we'll help you).
Assist our coordinators in selecting the right home and follow the adoption process.
Be at least 18 years old.
Obtain landlord approval if you are renting.
What support can you expect?
All medical expenses covered at partner vet clinics in Busselton and Vasse.
Flea and worming treatments provided.
Food, bedding, and toys provided if needed (or you may bring your own).
Regular check-ins and advice from our dog team.
Access to a closed Facebook group for 24/7 support and community.
About SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) Busselton
SAFE Busselton is a not-for-profit registered animal welfare charity that rescues and rehomes cats and dogs in the Busselton/Margaret River region. We operate as a 100% foster care model – we do not have premises or boarding facilities. We rely on donations and fundraising and are part of SAFE Inc., a network of ten branches across regional Western Australia.
