This position will provide the successful applicant opportunities to provide a crucial Social Work service in a well-supported multi-disciplinary team environment. This role involves the provision of Social Work service, supervision and education of student and junior Social Workers and will be a member of our supportive team. The Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community based services across a range of specialties.
Your New Role
Deliver high-quality, client-centred care through strong clinical skills, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork, including comprehensive psychosocial assessment and targeted intervention planning.
Provide specialised social work services such as risk assessment, discharge planning, care coordination, advocacy, counselling, and family/group work.
Contribute to service delivery across different clinical areas, supporting quality improvement, teaching, research, and policy or program development.
Support workforce development by supervising junior staff, students, and allied health assistants, and contributing to department and profession growth (including cross-campus and weekend services).
You will be supported by the Social Work manager, clinical lead (grade 4) & senior clinician (grade 3)
About You
Qualified and experienced Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with demonstrated clinical skills
An adaptable quick learner with proven ability to work autonomously
Effectively deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers
Experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff
