Reporting to the Library Continuous Improvement Lead, the Library Marketing and Communications Liaison is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering engaging marketing and communications for the community to increase awareness, engagement and participation in Boroondara Library services.
Overview
This a great opportunity to work in close partnership with Council's Strategic Communications and internal library teams. The Library Marketing and Communications Liaison will ensure library services, collections, programs and initiatives are promoted consistently, creatively and in line with Council brand, governance and approval processes. The position plays a key role in strengthening internal and external communication channels, supporting community connection and ensuring library communications are audience focused, timely and effective.

To be successful in this role you will have:
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively with relevant teams to deliver integrated communications and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience using social media and digital platforms as communication and marketing tools.
* Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications, including content creation across multiple channels.
* Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Knowledge of web, social media and graphic design principles.
* Experience in a public library, local government or community services environment desirable.
Employment Requirements
Applicants must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia, and those progressing through the selection process will need to complete a National Police Record Check, a Working with Children Check and any relevant pre‐employment medical assessments as required.
