About the Role
Join a cutting-edge Automated Distribution Centre in Truganina, Melbourne. This state-of-the-art facility will revolutionize how we deliver exceptional service and products to our customers across the country.
We're on a mission to transform the future of retail logistics. As our new Automation & Inventory Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency in our operations. You'll oversee the heart of our automated and integrated materials handling systems, ensuring smooth operations and maximum throughput.
This isn't just about managing a system – it's about shaping the future of retail logistics. You'll be at the forefront of improving our systems to tackle challenges head-on and make things run like clockwork. Your expertise will drive the entire product lifecycle, from slotting optimization to troubleshooting system hiccups.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Controlling SRG's national automation solution and system controls to ensure optimal performance.
* Maintaining inventory integrity across Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS).
* Managing inventory accuracy while ensuring the slotting algorithm functions accurately and aligns with SRG processes.
* Designing and implementing new warehouse processes and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Developing SKU slotting strategies to optimize warehouse space and improve picking efficiency.
About You
We're looking for a passionate individual with expertise in automated and integrated materials handling systems or automation in logistics and warehouse environments.
You have:
* Experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and process improvement.
* Experience with SKU slotting strategies.
* Exposure to systems engineering, process engineering, and manufacturing processes.
* Exposure to Warehouses / Distribution Centres, preferably with experience in Retail, FMCG, or multi-brand SKU range.
* Experience working within an Automated Distribution Centre with operational knowledge of the automation and inventory interdependencies.
