About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pastry Artisan to join our team in a dynamic and creative environment. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with high-quality ingredients, producing artisanal baked goods.
Responsibilities:
* Crafting a variety of sweet and savoury pastries, cakes and tarts using traditional methods and premium ingredients.
* Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all baked goods.
* Collaborating with senior colleagues to develop new and innovative pastry items.
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
* Mentoring and training junior team members.
* Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
* Working early morning shifts as required for pastry preparation.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3-5 years experience as a pastry chef in a high-quality restaurant, café or bakery environment.
* Strong technical skills in traditional pastry techniques.
* Creativity and an eye for detail to produce visually appealing baked goods.
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
* A team player with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Passion for using high-quality locally sourced ingredients.
* Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Must have Australian work rights.
* Trade qualification in pastry or culinary arts required.
