Our client, a purpose-led not-for-profit organisation, is seeking an experienced People Partner to join their People & Culture team and make a tangible impact on employees and communities alike. With a strong commitment to social inclusion and equity, this organisation delivers life-changing services and support to individuals and families in need. This role is ideal for someone who brings energy, credibility, and empathy to the workplace. As this is a newly created position, you will have an opportunity to establish the role from scratch! About the Role The People Partner provides end-to-end HR support across a diverse and committed workforce. You'll be hands-on, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing a broad scope of responsibilities across multiple sites. There is travel around Melbourne within work hours involved in this role - pool cars / uber available for travel. Key Responsibilities Partner with managers and staff to understand people needs and deliver effective HR solutions Lead the implementation of people programs that promote engagement, capability, and wellbeing Provide expert advice on policies, procedures, enterprise agreements, and relevant employment legislation Manage employee relations matters including performance, investigations, and disciplinary processes Support workforce planning and recruitment strategies to meet current and future resourcing needs Lead or support leadership and capability development programs Promote a psychologically safe and inclusive workplace Contribute to reporting requirements (e.g. WGEA, engagement metrics) Recommend and implement improvements to people systems and workflows About You Proven experience in a People & Culture or HR Business Partnering role Skilled communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels A natural collaborator with a high level of empathy, professionalism, and discretion Comfortable working across multiple sites and building trust in diverse settings Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to change Relevant qualifications in HR, organisational development, coaching or a related field What’s on Offer A meaningful role in a values-driven organisation Flexibility to work full-time or part-time A collaborative, supportive People Team and leadership environment Opportunities to shape culture and drive strategic people outcomes A workplace that values wellbeing, innovation, and purpose If you’re passionate about people and want to create real impact across an organisation doing vital community work, we want to hear from you.
