About the Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Grounds Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated team at our Talbarra Retirement Living in Waterford. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, this role will ensure the condition and appearance of our Retirement Living community is of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe setting for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas to a high standard.
- Perform planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, and general landscaping tasks.
- Ensure all outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address gardening needs.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the facility team to create outdoor spaces that support resident well-being.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

To be successful, you will have
- Experience in general maintenance and groundskeeping (aged care experience preferred)
- Certificate IV qualification or relevant experience
- Current valid drivers' licence
- Australian work rights
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Flu Vaccination (or willing to obtain)
- Evidence of at least one COVID-19 vaccination
- A pre-employment medical assessment may be required
