If you are ready to lead and grow a philanthropy function that supports meaningful social impact, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of community services in the Northern Territory.

On behalf of our client, Anglicare NT, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Philanthropy Manager to establish and lead an organisation-wide approach to philanthropic engagement. This is a rare opportunity to shape and embed a philanthropy function that builds meaningful, values-aligned relationships with donors, trusts, foundations, and other partners who want to make a real difference across the Northern Territory. The role will working closely with the Executives, program leaders, and corporate teams, while translating impact into compelling cases for support, develop high-quality philanthropic opportunities, and build a strong pipeline of sustainable funding that supports long-term community outcomes.

This role would suit a strategic relationship-builder who can see both the big picture and the detail - someone who knows philanthropy is not just about asking for money, but about building trust, credibility, and shared purpose.

Key Responsibilities

* Developing and implementing a multi-year philanthropy strategy aligned to organisational priorities.
* Building strong relationships with major donors, philanthropic trusts and foundations, and aligned partners.
* Identifying and shaping projects suitable for philanthropic investment.
* Preparing compelling proposals, presentations, impact stories, and cases for support.
* Supporting the Executive and Board to engage confidently in philanthropy.
* Establishing systems, governance, reporting, and ethical due diligence frameworks for philanthropic activity.

Qualifications and Experience

* Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. social sciences, business, philanthropy) or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience in philanthropy, major gifts, trusts and foundations, or strategic fundraising.
* Strong strategic thinking and the ability to turn operational priorities into donor-ready opportunities
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted high-value relationships.
* Experience working with Boards and senior executives in a complex community or human services environment
* Knowledge of impact reporting, governance, compliance, and ethical fundraising practice
* The successful candidate will need to meet relevant compliance requirements, including Working with Children Clearance, National Police Check, vaccination currency, and a Northern Territory Driver's Licence.
