About the Role
As a Contracts Administrator you will assist in preparations and negotiate with sub-contractors for the calling of quotations and letting of contracts and provide contract administration services to assist in the project's control of contract costs.
Responsibilities
* Draft scopes of works and packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projects
* Conduct investigations with subcontractors to clarify the organisation's conditions relating to contracts for prospective projects
* Operate and maintain commercial and contract systems including Project Costs Reporting (PCR), Asset Registers, Commercial Pack database and Contract Sum
* Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any cost's issues immediately upon identification
* Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects and identify and implement controls
Qualifications
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent
* Postgraduate qualifications e.g. graduate certificate, graduate diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Property, Quantity Surveying, Law or other associated disciplines
* Experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and Water industry
* Relevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines
