Registered Oncology Nurse Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Oncology Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Icon Cancer Centre Hobart. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care in oncology and be committed to ongoing professional development.
Job Description
The role involves working across radiation and medical oncology/hematology departments, providing expert care to patients and their families. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert oncology nursing care, following current legislation and professional standards.
* Monitoring and administering medications, including IV anticancer infusions.
* Conducting patient assessments, managing side effects, and educating patients.
* Caring for peripheral and central access devices.
* Assisting with procedures and providing pre- and post-care guidance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
* Experience in medical oncology, hematology, and/or radiation oncology nursing (preferred).
* Current AHPRA registration.
* A commitment to patient-centred care with strong communication skills.
* An ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
