**Job Description**

The Riddoch Arts & Cultural Centre is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as an Engagement Officer. This role will support the Audience Engagement Assistant in building and engaging audiences with the centre's exhibitions, programming, and philanthropic activities.

As an Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for planning and preparing events and programming for diverse audiences. You will work closely with the Audience Engagement Assistant to develop and implement audience engagement strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

* Assisting with the development and implementation of audience engagement strategies;
* Planning and preparing events and programming for diverse audiences;
* Collaborating with the Audience Engagement Assistant to ensure effective communication and outreach to target audiences;
* Providing administrative support to the Audience Engagement Assistant; and
* Contributing to the overall success of the centre's exhibitions, programming, and philanthropic activities.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Excellent oral and written communication skills;
* Proven attention to detail and accurate data entry skills;
* Outstanding research skills and ability to meet deadlines;
* Experience in report writing and providing accurate information to stakeholders;
* Excellent organizational skills, initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to work well in a team;
* Demonstrated engagement with visual arts, museum, and gallery trends, particularly in online engagement and social media;
* Knowledge of exhibition and event management principles and practices;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines;
* Strong time management and prioritization skills;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
