Join to apply for the Senior Branded Content Editor role at News Corp Australia.

This is a hybrid role based in Sydney (Pyrmont) with the opportunity to work part of your week remotely. You’ll join a fast-growing business with a flexible working environment, stability, balance and a great culture. You will work closely with the Qantas digital and print editorial teams, sales, account service and design to develop innovative content for digital publishing platforms, social media, video and print channels.

You’re a written and visual storyteller who can translate a brief, marketing objective or strategic insight into multi-channel content that delivers strong results. With a background in digital or print publishing, you’ll write and/or commission editorial copy of the highest standard and ensure content aligns with commercial objectives and performance. You’ll also amplify content to large audiences on social media, generating social assets to drive results for every post on every platform.

This role is for Medium Rare, Australia’s leading content marketing agency, and involves ideating and creating high-quality commercial content for Qantas, its Frequent Flyer partners and high-value advertisers.

Key Responsibilities

- Ideate, research and write across topics including travel, business, food and wine, and technology to produce high-quality digital copy, social media assets and print magazine content
- Work predominantly on Qantas magazine, Qantas Travel Insider and Qantas social channels; write or commission commercial content for a range of partners and advertisers
- Manage your task workflow and balance multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborate with clients to agree on concepts, execute within editorial guidelines and liaise on revisions; exceptional attention to detail is essential
- Use social media channels and email newsletters to amplify content, maximise engagement and drive action; maintain a monthly social media schedule tailored to drive clicks and engagement

Who are you?

- Five years’ experience as an editor or content producer at a media publisher, agency or brand. Solid experience in digital and social content is essential; print magazine experience preferred. Commercial content experience is highly regarded
- Commissioning and copy editing experience; ability to manage freelance writers within an editorial budget
- High-level organisational skills and demonstrated ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with solid editing skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of all social media platforms, best practices and specifications
- Ability to think visually and direct visual assets, including social content
- Experience writing presentations and pitches is highly regarded but not essential
