They are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Butcher to join their skilled team.
The Butcher will contribute to daily production targets, assist with stock control, and uphold the company's commitment to excellence in product quality and customer service.
This is a hands-on role suitable for someone with strong technical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The annual salary for this position is $76,000 to $78,000.
Responsibilities include:
Cutting, deboning, trimming, mincing, and portioning meat to specified sizes and shapes for display or customer orders.
Preparing specialty meat products by marinating, seasoning, curing, and crumbing selected cuts.
Selecting and processing meats for the production of smallgoods such as sausages, salamis, and other cured products.
Using equipment such as grinders, mixers, mincers, and tenderisers to prepare various meat products.
Operating sausage-making machines, smokehouses, cooking kettles, and vats to produce smallgoods and processed meats.
Offering expert advice to customers on meat selection, storage, cooking methods, and suitable cuts for specific dishes.
Supporting production scheduling; assisting with food cost estimation and stock requirements.
Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock rotation to ensure product freshness and minimise waste.
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
Must have at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
Formal qualifications are not required if the candidate has more than three (3) years of relevant experience.
