Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for leading a team to develop and quantify company data supporting the core business operations. The objective of the position is to improve the financial performance of YMCA Victoria by making better decisions through the provision of insight and reporting. As the Finance Business Partner, you will:
Provide financial input to strategic planning and growth strategies to three core Business Segments
Provide meaningful analysis to help drive margins and ensure a better financial return for the YMCA
Prepare reviews of annual budgets, forecasts and performance variances through an understanding of key business drivers and performance metrics
Produce fully costed planning to enable the business unit to meet its strategic goals
Partner with key stakeholders across the business units to provide strategy and commercial insights, along with recommended actions
Assist with financial modelling for upcoming business cases and participate in tender responses
Identify and drive the development of improved forecasting and budgeting process
This is a permanent full-time role with a base salary of $131,000 - $140,000 plus super. You’ll work from home and our Box Hill offices 1 to 2 days per week. The role will require some travel to our sites, where required.
About You
3‑5 years in a similar role with a passionate approach
Exceptional communication to a range of stakeholder groups and a strategic mindset to achieve business outcomes
Lead, inspire and motivate the team by promoting a culture of continuous learning and development
Build strong and positive relationships with the Executive, General Managers, Development Managers and Area Manager, providing them with insightful sector analysis
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
Ability to positively deal with and manage change, think outside the box and be innovative
Create a culture of continuous learning and development across the function
Show initiative to improve efficiencies within the team
Communicate in an articulate, clear and constructive way and adapt your communication style to suit different people
Mandatory Pre‑Requisite Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in finance/accounting
CPA/CA qualification (or studying towards)
