About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is expanding its Project Delivery Branch to establish a dedicated Pre-Construction Group, complementing the existing construction-focused team.

We are seeking a Project Administration Officer to join the Project Delivery Team within Infrastructure Operations and Delivery Department. This role provides professional, efficient, and effective administrative support to assist in the delivery of Council's construction and preventative maintenance programs.

The position works closely with the Project Delivery team and supports contract administration, project reporting, customer enquiries, and general administrative functions in accordance with Council policies, procedures, and systems.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) administrative support activities associated with project and contract delivery, use of Council systems and Microsoft Office applications, processing customer requests, preparation of correspondence and documentation, maintaining registers and records, and supporting reporting and meeting requirements as outlined in the attached Position Description.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

9. Minimum two years' experience working in a high-volume, customer-focused office administration environment.
10. High level of computer literacy, including demonstrated word processing and data entry skills using Microsoft software applications, with strong attention to detail.
11. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional and positive manner, including tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters.
12. Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders, supported by well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate, and solve problems within a multidisciplinary environment.
13. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
14. Demonstrated experience providing contract administration support using Australian Standards construction contracts.
15. Proficiency at an intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Suite applications.
16. Qualifications in project management, business, and/or administration, is desired but is not essential.
