The Office of Minister Suzanne Orr is seeking to fill an Office Manager position. The Office Manager is one of the most important roles in any ministerial office. As often the first point of contact for the public, community stakeholders and other offices, the ideal applicant will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Minister Orr is responsible for a diverse combination of portfolios spanning: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs; Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Water; Disability, Carers and Community Services; and Seniors and Veterans. Work across these portfolios relies on working closely with other ministerial offices’, the community and a range of stakeholders. Eligibility/Other requirements Providing the first point of contact for the office by phone and email – including triaging and directing incoming correspondence to the Minister’s public-facing inbox for further action by directorates and advisers. Regularly engaging with constituents, senior public servants, Members of the Legislative Assembly, other Ministers Offices’ and stakeholders as required. Office administration including coordinating office processes, managing the Minister’s diary, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel. Community engagement and support. Contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment and culture where all staff are valued and respected.
