Role summary
The role requires an end-to-end perspective; determining and understanding the business need and scope; developing the solution, being cognisant of the supporting business processes; guide and support the solution build and implementation; and, understand the need and transition to BAU support. You are an established Solution Architect, with expertise in applications and systems (an advantage for supporting mining operations) and base knowledge of infrastructure/cloud environments, looking for a role with high visibility.
Position
Integration Architect
* Architect the system/data integration solutions of program, enterprise and operational scope
* Extract and evaluate the client business needs to develop an integration solution architecture in conjunction with clients architectural/IT service providers
* Describe the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of the solution to project stakeholders
* Break down the solution in defining integration features, phases, solution requirements and providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered
* Reviews for quality, the overall outcomes and technical solution identification of the requirements and advises on options for the best solution outcomes
* Create, update and maintain accurate architectural artefacts.
* Proactively consider consequences of each new system integration to ensure Rio Tinto business processes are supported.
* Define application and integration architectures include components and their interaction and orchestration.
What you will bring to the role
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Solution/Integration Architect role
* You will have a broad and diverse of skills covering technologies, ideally industry knowledge (Mining), communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
* Experience on a variety of platforms (Linux, Windows), --EAI Development skills --SI EDI ANSI X12 --SAP development and SAP Interface technologies (RFC, BAPI, IDOC), XML Azure API Gateway - Unix (AIX, LINUX), - Windows GITHUB, Jenkins.
* Excellent influencing skills and ability to link business with IT.
* Outstanding communicator and able to reduce complex ideas to simple terms and business understanding. Able to express ideas/needs these to both non-technical and technical audiences.
* Must have good organizational, strategic planning and research skills.
* Be knowledgeable across industry, business, IT strategy and digital strategy, and technology domains.
* Be able to quickly gain a broad view of the business and varied degrees of appreciation for strategies, processes, technologies, and identify the integration needs.
* The ability to apply architectural principles and solution elements to business needs
* Demonstrated extensive experience in IT implementation including scalable cloud-based solutions in large enterprise environments.
* Experience working with IT and system vendors and clients in a partnership model
