Offer description

Shaping Spaces. Shaping Careers. We shape inspiring spaces and create exceptional experiences that leave a lasting impact – and we've been doing it for more than 35 years across Australia. From reimagining workplaces to transforming schools and hospitals, we believe great things happen when talented people are empowered to collaborate, innovate, and push boundaries. At SHAPE, you'll find a culture where your ideas matter, your growth is nurtured, and your contributions are celebrated.

About the role:As a Project Coordinator at SHAPE, you'll be right at the heart of project delivery—working alongside Site Managers and Project Managers to help deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and on budget. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days look the same. You'll be involved across site operations, subcontractor coordination, cost and programme management, safety, quality, and project documentation, using SHAPE's industry-leading systems to keep everything moving seamlessly. Just as importantly, you'll bring the right mindset—someone who takes ownership, builds strong relationships, thrives in a team environment, and lives our values every day. At SHAPE, how you do the job matters just as much as what you deliver, and this role offers genuine exposure, responsibility, and a clear pathway to grow your career in a business that backs its people.

* Assist Site and Project Managers to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, in accordance with SHAPE's EHSQ and Project Delivery Systems.
* Coordinate day-to-day site activities, including subcontractor sequencing, site inductions, safety signage, inspections, quality checks and defect management.
* Support cost, contract and cashflow management through subcontract letting, invoice processing, variation control and cost reporting.
* Manage project documentation and communication, including RFIs, meeting minutes, drawing registers and contract amendments using JOBPAC and Procore.
* Assist with programme development and progress tracking in MS Project, ensuring accurate and timely project updates.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to support a high-performing project environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, innovation and a positive team culture aligned with SHAPE's values and safety commitment.

About you:You're a motivated and detail-driven construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. Whether you come from a building degree, diploma or trade background, you have a solid grasp of contemporary construction practices and the confidence to work across site, commercial and delivery functions. You're organised, proactive and comfortable juggling competing priorities, with a natural ability to build strong relationships with site teams, subcontractors and clients. Most importantly, you bring energy, curiosity and a team-first mindset — you're keen to learn, open to feedback and driven to grow your career with a business that values how you show up just as much as what you deliver.

* Qualification in construction, building or project management (degree or diploma), or a relevant trade background is advantageous; candidates currently studying are encouraged.
* Sound understanding of contemporary building practices, construction methodologies and site operations.
* Experience working in a fast-paced construction environment with a stable and reliable work history.
* Basic knowledge of head contracts, subcontracts and Security of Payment obligations.
* Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications for accuracy, quality and buildability.
* Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and exposure to industry systems such as JOBPAC and Procore.
* Exceptional communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving results.
