About The Role

As a Registered Nurse at the Rankin Park Centre (RPC), you will play a pivotal role within a professional, forward-thinking team committed to clinical excellence and compassionate care. RPC promotes a vibrant culture of continuous learning, where staff are empowered to engage in quality improvement, contribute to research, and apply evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.

In this role, you will:

* Develop tailored, person-centred care plans by identifying each patient\'s unique challenges and strengths.
* Support patients in regaining independence by encouraging them to attempt tasks at their own pace, fostering confidence and autonomy.
* Break down complex tasks into manageable steps to enable steady, measurable progress.
* Set achievable, patient-driven goals that inspire motivation and celebrate milestones.
* Provide ongoing feedback and positive reinforcement to empower patients throughout their journey.
* Ensure timely access to essential aids, equipment, and resources that support recovery.
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, coordinated, and safe discharge planning.

Where You'll Be Working

Nestled within the John Hunter Hospital campus, the Rankin Park Centre offers a dynamic and connected working environment. RPC forms part of John Hunter Hospital's Medical and Interventional Services within the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). RPC provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation service, with teams of medical, nursing, allied health, and support professionals working with patients and their families to empower independence.


Requirements

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
