Ready Set Rock is seeking a passionate and reliable Casual Instrumental Music Teacher (Piano & Voice) to join our growing team in 2026.
This role involves delivering engaging, high-quality instrumental music lessons to primary school–aged students across a number of primary schools located in Ashgrove and The Gap. It's an excellent opportunity for a developing music educator looking to gain experience teaching instrumental music in a school setting.
About the Role
* Teaching piano and voice to primary school students (other instruments an advantage)
* Degree-level piano proficiency required for teaching primary school students
* Formal vocal training required for voice teaching responsibilities
* Approximately 5 hours per week, with the view to growing as enrolments increase
* Lessons delivered during the school day and after school
* Teaching across multiple primary school sites in Ashgrove and The Gap
* Supporting students to prepare for concerts and performances
* Assisting with concerts and end-of-term performances as required
* Work is school term time only
* Casual employment paid at $50–$60 per hour, dependent on experience
* Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding music education program
About You
* Completed Bachelor of Music (or close to completion) preferred
* Experience teaching primary school–aged children is highly regarded
* Passionate about music education and student development
* Reliable, organised, and confident working independently in schools
* Holds a valid Working With Children Check
* Has reliable transport and is able to travel between school locations
* Available to assist with concerts and performance preparation
* Australian work rights required for this position
