Associate director, biosciences - anz (north ryde)

Lead the Biosciences ANZ strategy and execution to drive growth in Clinical and Research markets. As Business Associate Director, Biosciences, ANZ, you will lead, develop, and execute sales and marketing strategies for BD Biosciences (BDB) in the ANZ region, ensuring effective tactical plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve profit targets while delivering complete solutions for customers. You will also contribute to the strategic development, planning, and global strategies for the BDB division and serve as a transformation leader during the separation of the business from BD and its integration into Waters, guiding the team through comprehensive transformation initiatives.

• Establish business strategies, objectives, policies and set performance standards and targets to drive accelerated growth.
• Analyse economic, social, technical, legal, and other data or trends for integration into strategic plans.
• Direct business activities to achieve short and long‐term objectives, increased profit, and market influence.
• Liaise with key national customers, industry associations, and local/federal government departments to monitor market changes.
• Prepare budgets, reports and forecasts, ensuring timely monitoring and corrective actions to meet P&L commitments.
• Maintain a close working knowledge of performance indicators.
• Lead, engage and develop an effective ANZ BDB team, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and coaching talent.
• Act as an internal champion for key systems and processes including Customer Centricity, Sales and Marketing Excellence, S&OP, and the Quality Management System.
• Manage close contact and communication with regional and worldwide teams to align local strategies with global initiatives.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, and ethical standards and adhere to the Quality Management System.

• 10‐15 years of experience in marketing and sales.
• Healthcare and/or Life Sciences industry experience.
• Experience managing B2B/large accounts.
• Experience leading sales efficiency and excellence.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in people, talent management, finance, sales, marketing, and operations.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate business and customer needs into tactical plans aligned with strategy.
• Consultative approach, comfortable with challenging thinking.
• Strong financial acumen, good understanding of P&L management and analysis.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity.
• Self‐aware, supportive of team decision‐making, continuous learning.
• Thought leadership with effective communication to influence others.
• Degree in sciences or related field (preferred).

Strong strategic leadership, transformation management, financial acumen, and coordination across global and local teams are required.
