About the Enoggera Health Centre
Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks.
Established in ****, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately **** members.
The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities.
The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.
This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The standard operating hours of the centre are generally ********* Monday – Friday.
What you'll do
As Nurse Practitioner you will be responsible for providing general nursing care to patients with the additional ability to undertake tasks such as assisting in emergency medical responses, prescription of medications/vaccinations, ordering diagnostic investigations and direct referral to other health care professionals.
You will adhere at all times to the competencies, guidelines and codes of professional standards as detailed by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as well as Defence Policies and Procedures, legislative requirements and clinical governance directives.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals.
Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care.
What you bring
Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner
Minimum 2 years NP experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care
