Job Description
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to queries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Accounting & Reporting Specialist Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Be studying towards or a qualified CPA or CA candidate
- Proven experience in financial reporting or general ledger accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the retail industry is highly regarded.
