A rare opportunity exists for a dynamic and passionate cheese & wine enthusiast who can bring experience to our team – both in Retail and Events management.We provide the world's finest cheese to the Australian market via retail and online.
We provide educational experiences – locally, nationally & internationally.
As we continue to grow so does our need for skilled, motivated and energetic staff.Based in the Adelaide Central Market, the Smelly Cheese Shop Assistant Manager will be required to lead, coach and direct the day-to-day sales activities of the team in our Central Market retail store.
They will be responsible for ensuring that customer partnerships are established and maintained and be ambassadors for this iconic SA brand.They will be responsible for successfully managing the Adelaide Central Market store and associated events.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure sales and wage targets are metSupport and develop teams in the day-to-day operationRecruitment and people managementMaintain the store's visual appealEnsure exceptional customer service standards are metManage inventory, ensure products are stocked appropriately and product rotation is maintainedAssist in the management of the activity of the online storeMaintain a dynamic wine selection - ensuring profitability targets and legal requirements are metAssist with executing the events calendar - managing weekly events at the Adelaide Central Markets & offsite as required.Key RequirementsProven experience in retail management, preferably in a food &/or beverage related environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience with wine list management is desiredAbility to analyse sales performance to identify insight and opportunityAbility to manage stock levels, always ensuring quality targets are metExperience in leading/mentoring a teamEnergetic, positive and motivated dispositionRSA CertificateThank you in advance for your application.Only successful applicants will be contactedHow do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have experience in a sales role?How many years of retail management experience do you have?Do you hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate?Do you have customer service experience?How many years of people management experience do you have?What's your expected annual base salary?
