Ubeeco Packagng Solutions is a major manufacturer of single use pallets and packaging crates for the transport industry. Their Brisbane factory is located in Carole Park.
Due to the continued growth of the business, they are looking to appoint a highly skilled maintenence fitter and manual machinist, preferably with electrical connect/disconnect to join the team.
Note: this is a new requirement.
The factory has modern equipment, good facilities and a positive team culture.
This role reports to the production manager and is responsible for:
* Operation of manual lathes and machining work. (20%)
* Maintaining and repairing factory production equipment. (80%). Eqjuipment such as drop and mitre saws, planners, high speed nail guns and other hand held electrical tools (as appropriate)
* Manufacture of specialised machinery parts and tooling for production.
* Maintaining critical maintenance spare parts and consumables
* 6.30am-3pm M-F .
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and autonomous individual who is prepared to take ownership of the day to day factory maintenance. We are open about your exact background but it is essential that you have hands on experience in the areas of competency above.
The ability to work harmoniously in a small maintenance team and work cooperatively with production team leaders is essential. Preference will be given to those with electrical connect/disconnect, however we are willing to support the right candidate to gain these accreditations if required.
Preference will be given to candidates living with a 45 min commute of Carole Park and due to the lack of public transport, you must have access to vehicle unless you live in Carole Park or very closeby.
Role is being offered as a permanent full time, hourly rate position. Attractive and negotiable hourly rate depending on skill and experience
