Your role will also involve preparing reports, tracking project expenses, and supporting the development of financial forecasts and budgets.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation and presentation of financial reports and cost analysis.Collect, analyze, and track financial data related to the Sydney Water Project.Prepare and deliver cost presentations to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in financial reporting.Develop financial models and conduct variance analysis to support cost management and decision-making.Provide financial data for progress reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.Collaborate with various teams (procurement, design, construction, and operations) to manage and monitor project costs.Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections for the project.Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, project budgeting standards, and relevant financial regulations.Support the financial controller with internal and external audits as required.Help track the financial performance of the project and propose adjustments to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.Maintain financial documentation and records for future audits and compliance reporting.Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Over 1 year of experience in finance or financial analysis, preferably in a project-based environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively.Analytical mindset with experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.Experience in managing project finances or large-scale infrastructure projects.Familiarity with financial modeling tools or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.Strong understanding of cost management principles and financial risk assessment.Professional certification in finance (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.Strong project management and presentation skills.Knowledge of sustainability and environmental considerations in financial reporting is an advantage.Willingness to travel interstate as needed for project coordination.This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to play an integral role in our project, contributing to both the financial management and overall success of the project.
