SIRROM has a current opportunity for a 4:3 Roving Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Training (HSEQT) Advisor to join our expanding team.
Overview
The role is ideal for an experienced Senior Chef or Hospitality Leader holding a current Cert IV in TAE & OPHS, with strong food safety, compliance, and auditing experience who is ready to transition into a professional HSE/WHS/OHS Advisor career.
Opportunity
Due to a new client coming on board, SIRROM has an immediate opportunity for a Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training Advisor to join the HSE team on a FIFO basis and support site operations on an attractive 4:3 roster. As the Site's Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training Advisor, you will report to the Group Health and Safety Manager and play a crucial role in supporting and coaching Site Managers, Head Chefs, and other staff members. You will also promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work ethic and food safety culture to our employees.
Primary Responsibilities
* Support all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training onsite for Sirrom.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Sirrom Corporate, operations, and client site management teams to assist with achieving goals and objectives.
* Coach and mentor leaders on their role obligations.
* Conduct all Verification of Competency (VOCs) as required by the client.
* Conduct physical and food safety inspections and audits.
* Conduct incident investigations.
* Coordinate safety meetings and other safety programs online.
* Conduct Site Specific Inductions and required training programs.
* Maintain the Site Training Mantric and relevant training registers and records.
* Manage incident records on the Sirrom Safety Management System and client systems such as INX.
* Assist in producing statistical reports for managers and the leadership team.
* Support with injury management.
* Conduct Quality Assurance Inspections, Audits and Training.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Australian tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum Certificate IV) or higher.
* Australian tertiary qualification in Training and Assessing (minimum Certificate IV TAE) or higher.
Experience & Skills
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar FIFO or remote‐based WHS/OHS/HSE role.
* ICAM Incident Investigation training.
* Food Safety Awareness Training.
* Valid Australian Drivers Licence.
* Ability to obtain National Police Clearance Certificate (NPC).
* Ability to pass Mine Site Fitness for Work and Medical Requirements.
Highly Regarded
* Extensive hospitality, kitchen, or Head Chef background.
* Strong food safety audit experience.
* Auditing training and experience.
* Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 22001.
* Experience in risk management, compliance, and quality systems.
* Demonstrated understanding and application of various safety management systems.
