Role Description
Family Education and Support Worker is a key position in our organization, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on families and their children.
The primary focus of this role is to provide support and education to families in their homes, utilizing best-practice interventions and evidence-based strategies to help children thrive in early learning environments.
Supporting families through home visits, guidance, and referrals to community resources, you will empower parents with the tools and confidence to navigate services effectively.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough assessments to identify family needs and develop personalized support plans.
* Implement evidence-based interventions, including training and coaching for parents, to promote positive parenting practices and improve child outcomes.
* Build strong partnerships with kindergarten teachers and early childhood educators to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
* Provide ongoing guidance and support to families, addressing challenges and celebrating successes along the way.
* Maintain accurate records and track progress, ensuring that program deliverables are met and reporting requirements are fulfilled.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., social work, education, human services).
* Proven experience working with families, particularly in early childhood settings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
