About the role
This is an exciting prospect to join the team at Down south bakery as a Barista/Cafe all rounder. This is a casual role approx 15-30 hours a week located in Lonsdale, SA 5160. Working in a fast-paced and vibrant cafe environment, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee creations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the broader operations of the busy bakery.
Responsibilities
Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and tea beverages
Providing friendly and attentive customer service to create a welcoming cafe experience
Assisting with food preparation, restocking, and general cafe duties as needed
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the cafe
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service-focused role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry
Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Barista or in a customer service-focused hospitality role
Strong knowledge of coffee making and the ability to consistently produce high-quality beverages
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service
A friendly, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with cash handling and basic food preparation procedures
Must be available for early morning shifts and Saturdays
Must have valid work rights in Australia
