Payroll Officer
Minimum 2 years' experience with Chris21/iChris. Moorabbin, VIC. Full-time role – 6 months fixed term contract. Access salary packaging options of over $15,000.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our People team in Moorabbin, Victoria. In this critical role, you'll support the delivery of accurate, timely, end-to-end payroll services while ensuring compliance with industrial instruments, legislation and reporting obligations. You'll work closely with employees, leaders and external payroll partners to ensure a seamless payroll experience.
What You'll Do
* Execute fortnightly pay runs with precision
* Provide accurate advice on payroll processes, legislation and obligations
* Respond to employee payroll queries with a customer-first mindset
* Support employees and leaders with payroll systems and processes
* Maintain HRIS data integrity and ensure accurate payroll information
* Assist in developing payroll documentation, workflows and continuous improvements
* Administer payroll controls, ATO obligations, leave reconciliations, back payments and adjustments
* Support internal/external audits and provide payroll reporting
* Collaborate with Finance, People & Culture and external payroll providers
* Promote our values and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives
What You Bring
* Strong understanding of payroll processes
* Excellent attention to detail and deadline management
* Advanced numeracy and strong technology capability (including MS Excel)
* Ability to build strong relationships across the organisation
* Robust communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
* A critical eye for data accuracy and system integrity
* National Police Check
