Porter Laundry Attendant – Green Island Porter Laundry Attendant Green Island Resort Located on Green Island (27km offshore from Cairns, Queensland) Hourly rate $***** | ***** hours per week Commute or live on positons available Green Island Resort is seeking a reliable and hands-on Porter Laundry Attendant to support the day-to-day operations of our island resort.
This role plays an important part in delivering a high-quality experience for both guests and staff through efficient luggage handling, linen services and general operational support.
This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a small island team and taking pride in behind-the-scenes operations.
About the Role Working as part of our resort operations team, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with guest luggage transfers to and from vessels and accommodation Collecting, sorting, washing, drying and folding resort linen and towels Ensuring laundry areas are kept clean, safe and well organised Supporting room turnovers by delivering clean linen as required Assisting with general porterage and operational tasks across the island Following safe manual handling and WHS procedures at all times About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A strong work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude Physical capacity to safely perform manual handling and repetitive tasks Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, porterage, resorts or hospitality is advantageous but not essential — training will be provided.
