We are now looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help drive the next evolution of our platform, bringing deep technical capability, strong engineering craftsmanship, and leadership-by-example to uplift the capability of the entire team.
About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll design and deliver high-quality web, mobile, and backend systems while setting the benchmark for technical excellence across the engineering team. This role is for someone who thrives in complex systems, is confident working across the full stack, and enjoys mentoring and guiding other engineers.
You'll work across React, TypeScript,, PostgreSQL and GCP, owning features end-to-end, from architecture through to deployment. You'll collaborate closely with product and design, champion engineering standards, and play a critical role in shaping AutoGrab's technology direction as we continue to scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain
web and mobile applications using React, Typescript, and, along with backend services built on PostgreSQL and GCP.
* Design, optimise, and maintain databases
, including schema design, performance tuning, and robust integrations.
* Own features end-to-end
from architecture and design, through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation.
* Set the standard for code quality
, conducting and contributing to code reviews with a strong focus on testing practices, maintainability, reliability, security, and performance.
* Mentor and guide other engineers
, supporting their growth through pairing, knowledge-sharing, and coaching in modern engineering practices.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
including product, design, sales, and operations—to define, design, and deliver meaningful features and improvements.
* Implement security and data protection measures
, ensuring our systems follow best practices and comply with relevant privacy regulations.
Champion technical excellence
, contributing to architectural decisions, CI/CD improvements, and scalable system design.
* Diagnose and resolve complex issues
, taking ownership of problems and driving solutions with speed, care, and attention to detail.
About You
* 5+ years experience as a Senior Software Engineer with strong capability across both
front-end and backend development
.
* Deep proficiency in
React, Typescript,
, and server-side programming.
* Strong experience with
PostgreSQL
or similar relational databases.
* Demonstrated ability to write
clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
, with a solid understanding of modern software engineering principles.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritise complex technical challenges.
* Strong communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience owning significant product features or systems from concept to production.
