The Role
Responsibilities
Working with a team of dedicated lawyers, you'll provide a blend of legal administrative support and paralegal services. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing both electronic and hard copy legal documents and filesMaintaining and updating a specialised database, including generating reports for clients and lawyersPreparing and filing Court documents on the Court's electronic platformAssisting lawyers during the discovery process by collating, preparing indexes and watermarking documents, and arranging for the delivery of documents to other partiesPreparing and collating briefs to Counsel and to expert witnessesManaging diaries, scheduling meetings, and tracking deadlinesPreparing notices and correspondence to clients, third parties, and government agencies to effect settlements of claimsArranging medico-legal appointmentsPreparing and issuing invoices on behalf of the litigation teamManaging files and undertaking other administrative support tasks as required

Previous legal assistant and/or paralegal work experience supporting a litigation team (essential)Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA can-do attitude, initiative, and critical thinking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal softwareSound understanding of court processes and proceduresThe ability to work well under pressure and manage competing prioritiesA proactive approach to maintaining high-quality work and supporting team goals
