Kickstart your Aquaculture career by joining Tassal's Accelerate Program You'll gain a full-time position and start your role with an intensive 6-week training program, with other newbies, designed to give you the key skills required to be a successful Aquaculture Technician. At Tassal, we have some of Tassie's best locations to work at. If you are looking for a secure, full-time position and want to build a lasting career in Aquaculture, then this could be the role for you
**What do you get in your 6-week training?**
- Coxswains ticket, which will allow you to drive a commercial boat;
- DMLA (Deck Machinery and Lifting Appliances) ticket;
- Operational experience (crane operations, rope tying, fish-pen rigging and more);
- In-depth informational sessions on various departments in the business - learn how it all works from the beginning; and
- Tours of our Hatchery, Feed, and Processing facilities to learn about the whole process from egg to plate.
**What happens after the training?** You'll work on one of our farms as a valued member of our marine operations crew and will commit to continue your training to gain a Certificate 3 in Aquaculture.
**Do I need to have any experience? **No experience or tickets are required. If you are hardworking and keen to build a career in Aquaculture, we'd love to hear from you
**About you?**
To be successful, you will:
- Be committed to building a career in Aquaculture;
- Have a 'can do' - safely attitude
- Be physically fit;
- Hold a current driver's license;
- Be comfortable to work on the water;
- Have the right to work full time in Australia; and
- Successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug test.
