Are you an experienced truck driver who takes pride in operating trailers and attachments with precision and care?
If so, we want you on our Parks and Open Spaces team.
This is more than just a driving role – every day brings current challenges and opportunities to contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our city\'s parks and public spaces.
You will be part of a supportive crew that values collaboration and you will also have autonomy to manage some tasks independently.
What You\'ll Be Doing
Safely operate trucks, trailers, and various attachments for scheduled and reactive maintenance.
Carry out park maintenance activities including landscaping, waste removal, and asset care.
Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with the public in our parks and open spaces.
Maintain high standards of Work Health & Safety in all tasks.
Work across multiple Council depots and locations within the Wollongong LGA.
About You
You have a current MR Drivers Licence.
You have proven experience operating trucks, trailers, and a range of attachments.
You have experience in parks and open space maintenance, including the use of relevant tools and equipment.
You have a strong understanding and commitment to Work Health & Safety practices.
You are physically capable of performing manual outdoor work in all weather conditions as described in the job description.
You work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
You are reliable, proactive, and adaptable to changing tasks and schedules.
You are a clear and respectful communicator, especially when engaging with members of the public.
You take pride in maintaining public spaces and contributing to community wellbeing.
You are willing and able to work across multiple Council depots and locations within the Wollongong LGA.

Salary
Salary from: $73,564 up to $82,345 per annum, plus superannuation.
Salary will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications.
