Qualifications, Education and Skills
* FRCPC in Anatomical Pathology (or eligible)
* Board certification in Dermatopathology (or eligible) preferred
* Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
Requisites

* Provisional Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
* Mandatory Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) or eligible
Island Health’s Division of Anatomical Pathology is seeking a Dermatopathologist to join its subspecialized group at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC.
The ideal candidate will have a Fellowship in Anatomic Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in BC. You should be an excellent diagnostician with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Subspecialty fellowship training and/or extensive experience (preferably five years or more) in dermatopathology are required. Experience in soft tissue pathology is an asset. The role involves dermatopathology duties, participation in group frozen section coverage, and mentoring medical students and physicians.
In this position, you will be eligible for appointment with the Island Health Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology, and Medical Genetics, as well as with the Victoria Pathology Consulting Corporation. You may also apply for a clinical appointment with the University of British Columbia Department of Pathology.
