This is a unique Assistant Brand Manager role sitting at the front edge of what Concept Eight does next in QSR. You'll be focused on nurturing existing brands within the Innovation Division, as well as the opportunity to lead new brand and product developments, taking concepts from early-stage thinking through to market-ready execution working closely with the Head of Brand and cross-functional teams across the business.
It's a role that requires equal parts creative vision and commercial outlook. You need to be excited by the blank page, open to change, passion for testing and be grounded to know that great brands are built on strategy, not just aesthetics. You'll own meaningful work from day one, with the support structure and senior leadership access to help you do it well. This role is intended to be both challenging and developmental. Key ResponsibilitiesNew Brand Development
* Lead the continued development of existing and new brand concepts from initial brief through to launch-ready positioning - including brand purpose, naming, identity, tone of voice, and go-to-market strategy anchored in driving short and long-term sustainable growth.
* Conduct market research, consumer trend analysis, and competitive landscape reviews to identify whitespace opportunities and validate new brand directions.
* Build and present brand strategies to senior stakeholders, with clear commercial rationale and executional roadmaps.
* Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure new brand concepts are commercially viable and operationally executable.
* Manage the handover of new brands into ongoing marketing operations, ensuring all brand foundations are clearly documented and embedded.
Brand Strategy & Marketing Execution (Innovation Division)
* Develop comprehensive brand strategies that align with Concept Eight's short- and long-term business objectives.
* Build and manage marketing activity calendars across digital, social, in-venue, home delivery, and owned channels including the ATE Rewards loyalty platform.
* Oversee seasonal, launch-based, and always-on marketing activity, ensuring consistent execution across all touchpoints.
* Champion brand creative identity across all materials, maintaining clarity and consistency as new brands scale.
* Acts as brand custodian with a focus on long-term growth.
Commercial & Performance Management
* Track and report on brand and campaign performance, translating data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
* Manage brand-level budgets with a focus on cost-efficiency and ROI, in collaboration with the Brand Manager and Finance team.
* Contribute to pricing strategy and product development decisions in partnership with culinary and supply chain teams.
* Monitor like-for-like sales performance and identify opportunities to drive growth across the portfolio.
Stakeholder & Agency Management
* Act as the primary liaison with external creative agencies, production partners, and delivery platforms relevant to new brand activity.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, Training, Legal, and Supply Chain to ensure aligned and timely execution.
* Represent new brand initiatives clearly and confidently in cross-functional forums and senior leadership reviews.
* Stay ahead of QSR, food culture, and broader consumer trends - actively feeding insights into new brand thinking and existing portfolio strategy.
* Lead competitive analysis relevant to new brand categories, ensuring Concept Eight enters markets with a differentiated and well-informed position.

* You have 1-2 years of experience in brand management or marketing, with a track record of supporting campaigns that deliver measurable results.
* You live and breathe digital, staying ahead of platforms and trends, and bring a go-getter attitude to everything you do.
* You've been involved in brand development or launch activity; you understand what it takes to build something new and make it stick.
* You're a strategic thinker who can articulate a brand idea clearly and bring others along with you.
* You're highly organised and can manage multiple projects and stakeholders without losing quality or momentum.
* You write and communicate well; clear briefs, sharp presentations, no jargon.
* You love food and have genuine enthusiasm for the QSR and hospitality landscape.
* You're curious, proactive, and energised by working in a fast-paced environment where things move quickly.
* You have full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.

* Contribution to like-for-like sales growth and overall portfolio performance.
Performance reviews will occur annually, with formal feedback provided every six months or as requested. A 6-month probation review will form part of the onboarding process.
