The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Loan Assessor in Hobart, on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract to help deliver responsible, accurate lending decisions. You'll play a key role in assessing home loan applications, ensuring policy alignment, and supporting great customer outcomes in a growing, modernised banking environment.
What You'll Do
* Assess and decision loan applications within your Delegated Lending Authority.
* Prepare clear recommendations for loans requiring higher approval levels.
* Ensure accuracy, risk alignment, and compliance with lending policy.
* Meet service level and quality targets.
* Work closely with brokers, internal teams, and third‐party partners to support smooth customer journeys.
What You Bring
* Experience in loan assessment, underwriting, or credit analysis.
* Strong ability to interpret financial information and apply credit policy.
* Excellent judgement, attention to detail, and problem‐solving capability.
* Confident communicator with a customer‐centric mindset.
* Background in banking, finance, insurance, utilities credit or similar (banking not essential).
