We want to employ someone with a passion for winning work, growing a business and being part of something new and extraordinary. Westside Group is looking for an experienced Work Winner to lead our Procurement Team, to secure interesting mechanical services projects of any scale.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will primarily work with the Mechanical Contracting Team (mechanical service projects including HVAC) and also with mechanical and sanitary pipework projects for Westside Plumbing.
Yes; you will have a job description and some KPIs, but what if you write your own? Starting with:
Actively seek new opportunities with existing and potential clients and develop long-term relationships
Review tender portals including BidContender, SA Tenders and direct owner sites to identify opportunities that fit with company objectives
Develop cost estimates for multi-discipline projects with values up to $15 million, including design and construct (D&C;) projects
Submit high quality tender responses including non-pricing information
Contribute to our Group Procurement meetings (working towards leading) and identify cross-selling opportunities with Westside Plumbing and Westside Service
Participate in post-tender negotiations and project handovers with Project Managers
Review, improve and implement tendering strategies to ensure tendering is consistent and effective within the Mechanical Contracting team
Plan and manage mechanical service projects up to $2 million including procuring labour, equipment and subcontractors, client communication and contract management.
Assist with Company marketing and Business Development opportunities
Collaborate closely with our Technical Team to develop innovative solutions that benefit our Clients and Westside
Maintain client awareness of all company services including the benefits and value of the Westside Group of companies.
Work will be based at our home office at Thebarton, and some travel to sites will be required.
To be successful in the role you must have:
10+ years in the mechanical / building services industry in a supervisory/management capacity
5+ years estimating for commercial and government clients
Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
Knowledge of the South Australian building sector
Knowledge of estimating and project management systems and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
Degree qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management and/or Engineering are preferred, but not mandatory with suitable levels of experience.
