We're seeking a skilled Truck Driver who's ready to take their career further. This isn't your typical driving job - it's a hybrid role where most of your time will be spent on the road transporting fresh produce, with part of your week working alongside our crews in the paddock, operating harvesting equipment. No need to worry if you haven't done this before - we'll provide full training.
If you're confident behind the wheel and have experience with machinery, or simply the drive to learn, we'll teach you the skills you need to operate our machinery. In this role, you'll be hands-on in both transporting crops and helping to bring them in from the field, making you an essential part of the harvest process.
Kalfresh is an innovative, fast-growing Queensland horticultural company, focused on farming, processing, and marketing fresh conventional and certified organic vegetables across Australia and select export markets. We're a diverse, skilled team united by our passion for fresh, healthy nutrient-rich produce.
The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a motivated and reliable Truck Driver to join our Harvesting Division. Your main responsibility will be executing safe and timely deliveries of produce between our farms and our Kalbar processing facility.
Responsibilities include:
 * Safely transport fresh produce from farm to facility, ensuring quality and timeliness.
 * Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspection and promptly report vehicle issues.
 * Plan efficient routes to meet scheduled deliveries and maintain accurate delivery records.
 * Communicate effectively with harvest, packing, and logistics teams to achieve daily targets.
 * Support harvest operations, including operating machinery (training provided) and assisting with crop movement.
 * Perform preventative maintenance and daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
About You
This role will suit someone who is passionate about agriculture, enjoys working with fresh produce, and thrives in a hands-on environment where every day is different.
Requirements include:
 * A valid heavy combination (HC) truck licence.
 * Sound knowledge of truck driving rules, regulations, and road safety.
 * Previous truck driving experience (3+ years preferred).
 * Strong time management, organisational skills, and punctuality.
 * Clear and professional communication skills to work with harvest, packing, and operations teams.
What's in it for You
We offer job security in a thriving horticulture business with year-round operations, a varied role that gets you both on the road and hands-on in the paddock, and competitive pay.
