The Role
If you are a seasoned Security Architect, then we have a very exciting opportunity for you. This is a chance to join a highly functioning team with a core mission to drive the definition and governance of security architectures and corresponding security standards into major initiatives contained within Telstra’s strategic investment program.
Your role will have a focus on providing security domain thought leadership, architectural direction, security governance, security risk assessment / mitigation that enables the successful delivery of Telstra’s strategic business and security outcomes.
Key responsibilities
* Actively collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise and domain architects, engineers, constructor teams, product vendors and partners to define and operationalise appropriate security controls within solution architectures that protect Telstra and customer information, systems and network assets.
* Drive assessments and evaluations of emerging security capabilities to ensure architectural standards and capability roadmaps remain current and are business objective aligned.
* Define and document re-usable assets such as standardised security requirements and corresponding solution patterns that can be readily applied to avoid rework.
* Tertiary qualifications in an IT, Engineering or complementary discipline.
Essential Experience
* Extensive experience (10+ years) in providing complex security solutions, including security requirement elaboration, security controls definition and security threat/risk assessment
* Experience in solving enterprise-scale security problems involving high levels of ambiguity.
* Experience in developing and/or contributing to architecture or technology strategy.
* Tertiary qualifications in an IT, Engineering or complementary discipline.
