We’re on the hunt for an experienced Group Buyer to join a leading dealership group in the Illawarra region. If you know used car buying inside-out and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, this leadership role could be your next move. You'll be responsible for sourcing 300 quality used vehicles each month across multiple channels—private sellers, auctions, wholesalers, fleets, and more. You'll also lead and mentor a team of buyers, ensuring top performance, profitability, and strategic growth across the group. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute smart vehicle acquisition strategies Maintain strict quality and profitability standards Analyse market data, trends, and pricing to inform buying decisions Build relationships with key suppliers and partners Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team Collaborate with GMs, Used Car Managers, and reconditioning teams What You'll Need: Strong background in automotive buying or wholesale Leadership experience in a results-driven environment Deep knowledge of vehicle valuation and retail trends Great negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills Ability to handle high volumes and tight deadlines Familiarity with dealership systems and sourcing tools Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel This is a chance to take the lead in one of the region’s most dynamic used car operations.
