Horizon West Landscape Constructions is a family owned and operated commercial landscape construction and maintenance company based in Casuarina WA.
The company boasts a staff capacity in excess of 75 personnel operating across the Perth Metropolitan area.
Horizon West is seeking the services of an experienced Concreter to join our growing team in Casuarina WA. This full‐time position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to assist the company in developing a small in‐house concrete team to bolster capacity and support our current concrete sub‐contractor base.
Responsibilities
* Ordering, pouring, finishing and curing various standard and decorative concrete types across a variety of landscaping projects.
* Reading and interpreting landscape plans and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant installation.
* Assisting machine operators in preparing, measuring and laying out work areas to meet project requirements.
* Collaborating with landscape team members to maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Operating concrete mixing equipment and other power tools safely and efficiently.
Requirements
* Minimum 1‐2 years experience as a Concreter, preferably in the landscaping industry but not essential.
* Flexible "can do" attitude.
* A current driver's licence and own reliable transportation to and from the depot.
* Australian Permanent resident.
* Current Construction Industry White Card.
* Police Clearance.
* Must be able to pass a full medical including drug and alcohol.
* High level of commitment to safe work practices.
* Strong practical skills and attention to detail to ensure high‐quality, precise concrete finishes.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
* Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring and finishing techniques.
* Familiarity with the use of power tools and concrete equipment.
* A keen eye for detail and problem‐solving skills to overcome challenges on site.
* Small excavator, skid steer machine experience.
* MR/HR licence.
Salary (Perth Metro based on 100hrs/fortnight average) is calculated on skill set, qualifications, and prior experience and is inclusive of daily paid overtime calculated cumulatively at 24 hours per fortnight.
